WeIRCd is an open-source IRC daemon which focusses on easy administration and also integrates its own services to facilitate the setup.[2] It was first released in 2007 and is written in C. At the moment, it doesn't support linking other servers although that feature is being worked on.[3]

Features

Amongst the usual featureset, WeIRCd is one of the few IRC daemons that provides a graphical administration interface for Windows systems that also allows you to edit the configuration without the need to edit the config file manually with a text editor.[Source?] For the 1.0 release, remote administration is planned including changes to the configuration done remotely through the GUI.[Source?]
