qwebirc
qwebirc is a web client which written in Python using the Twisted framework. The front-end interface presented to the user is translated to JavaScript/Ajax from Python, which has the distinct trait of not requiring anything from the user save an JavaScript enabled browser. Qwebirc features link-generation for users to imbed it into their own websites, basic customization, emoticons, SSL and Localization Support. For a full feature list, click here.
